Miramichi, NB – March 20, 2026

Tiffany Gallivan has announced her candidacy for Mayor of the City of Miramichi in the 2026 municipal election.

A business owner, community leader, and communications professional, Gallivan brings experience working with businesses locally and on a global scale, alongside her leadership in economic development and community initiatives here in Miramichi. She currently serves as President of the Downtown Newcastle Business District and has played a key role in supporting local businesses, leading major fundraising efforts, and advancing community projects across the region.

Gallivan’s campaign will focus on three priorities: strengthening public safety through better coordination of services, growing Miramichi’s economy by supporting local businesses and leveraging opportunities such as the new Arbec Wellness Centre, and providing strong leadership with fair representation across all neighbourhoods.

“Miramichi has incredible potential — and it’s time to move forward with clear leadership and real action,” said Gallivan. “I’m stepping forward because I believe in this community and the opportunities ahead of us.”
