About Tiffany Gallivan

Proven leadership. Real results. A clear path forward.

I’ve spent nearly 17 years building businesses, leading organizations, and delivering real results — including the past decade working back home here, in Miramichi.

From securing major investment in our downtown to helping lead a $3.2 million housing project, my work has focused on turning ideas into action — and getting things done.

I’m a business owner and communications professional, working locally and globally to help organizations grow, modernize, and operate more effectively.

Leadership in Action

I’ve taken on leadership roles that require coordination, accountability, and results.

As President of the Downtown Newcastle Business District, I work with businesses and partners to strengthen our local economy and support sustainable growth.

As Chair of Safe Harbour Services (formerly the Miramichi Emergency Centre for Women), I’ve helped guide strategy, fundraising, and the successful delivery of a $3.2 million housing project — work that required collaboration across all levels of government and the broader community.

I also serve as Chair of the Miramichi Rock ‘n Roll Festival, a 32-year legacy event that has long brought people together from across our entire community.

Over the past year, we led a full reinvention of the festival — rebranding it as Rockin’ River Fest and repositioning it to better reflect the audience, the region, and the future of events in Miramichi. This work required clear direction, difficult decisions, and the ability to bring people together around a new vision while respecting the legacy of what came before.

I’ve also supported major community fundraising efforts, including Percy’s Place Hospice, and stepped into critical roles during emergency response situations when clear communication and coordination mattered most.

Throughout my work, I’ve focused on delivering outcomes — not just ideas.

I also serve on the Homelessness Advisory Board, established through advocacy efforts to address growing challenges in our community. This work involves collaboration across agencies and levels of government to improve coordination and outcomes for vulnerable residents.

My connection to Miramichi runs deep.

From family businesses and community leadership in Chatham to entrepreneurship and downtown life in Newcastle, my roots span both sides of the river.

I grew up spending time in my grandfather’s bookstore in downtown Newcastle, following my father around the shop and watching the daily life of this community unfold. That experience shaped how I see Miramichi — as a connected city where our businesses, families, and neighbourhoods all play a role in its strength.

This isn’t just where I live.
It’s part of my story.

Why I am running for mayor…

I am proud to be bilingual and committed to serving residents in both English and French.

I’m running for mayor because Miramichi is at an important moment.

We are facing real challenges — in public safety, economic growth, and how we plan for the future of our city. At the same time, we have real opportunities to strengthen our economy, better support our communities, and ensure every neighbourhood has a voice.

What we need now is leadership that is clear, accountable, and focused on results — not just discussion.

I’m stepping forward because I’ve spent my career doing exactly that.

I believe in:

• Getting things done, not just talking about them
• Bringing people together to move projects forward
• Clear communication and accountability
• Planning for the long term while addressing today’s challenges

My approach is practical, focused, and grounded in real experience.

Miramichi is ready for its next chapter — and it’s time to move forward with leadership that delivers.
